Red currant wilting

Fishy65Fishy65 Posts: 2,276

About a week ago I took some softwood...6 or 7 inch tips, from my flowering red currant, took off excess leaves other than small ones at the top.Inserted them in a compost/soil mix and they were doing ok but are now going floppy.I think I should have taken the cuttings in autumn or winter and hardwood ones at that.Oh well,we live and learn...

Thank you both for your replies.I'm still new to the cutting game and will give it another go come autumn.
