    I did OK with sweet corn a few years ago. Recent years have been dismal failures. I packed them in , but this year, 'she who must' decreed that we try again. Woe is my lot !

    Ouch!

    I think 'Incredible' said on the packet that it was bred for growing in the UK.  Thinking about it, 25/30 is poor for F1 seeds.  Still, I don't really have room for more than 25!  They've really come on in the coldframe since Tuesday.  Won't leave it open till after the w/e though.

    First lot I sowed in heated propagator; 8/10 germinated, 2 died after potting on. Planted a different variety; same method - 6/8 germinated, but are looking pretty weak. I don't regard this as disappointing, for me that is fairly normal with sweet corn. The first batch are now about 30cm high and are being hardened off (outside during the day and inside at night) they won't be planted outside until mid-May and only if the forecast is good.image
