Nostoc algae
hi there
apparently I seem to have nostoc algae all over the stone chip driveway - is this poisonous to dogs - I have a few and how can i treat it safely without causing too much environmental damage - thanks in advance

thanks Edd, my main concern was the dogs - as it does no harm I shall leave it - the sun will arrive soon and dry up the area - so hopefully it will subside until the autumn - thanks again

Hi
We have recently moved and have this nostoc all over the garden beds and gravel since the weather has got damper and wetter we have spent a large amount of money over the summer putting in plants and shrubs. How can I get rid of it without destroying all the plants

Hi petencaz. Soda crystals seem to work, look at plant paupers link for the main discussion on the problem.
Thanks Kitty will take a look .
