Chives
in Talkback
I have growing in my border for the last 2 years something that looks a bit like thick chives and smells like garlic. It has never flowered. At first when it grits came up I thought it was crocuses or another springlike flower.

I wonder if it's seedlings from one of the alliums that will flower eventually

As well as Nut's suggestion, it could be Allium triquetrum (onionweed) http://wildpicnic.blogspot.co.uk/2009/08/onion-weed-allium-triquetrum.html or possibly Garlic chives (aka Chinese chives) http://www.sarahraven.com/shop/garlic-chives.html.
A quick way of telling the difference before they flower, is that the Allium triquetrum has leaves that are 'three cornered' or triangular in cross-section, hence another name for them which is Three-cornered garlic. Garlic chives leaf profile is flat.
A lot of people confuse the two.
