Beech hedges

I saw Monty's beech hedge was all green in last nights episode but mine it still 99% brown. When can I expect it to come into green usually. I live in surrey.

    Any minute now I should think but I think MD has hornbeam and my hornbeam (not a hedge) has been in leaf for some time.

    Hornbeam and beech are superficially similar and do much the same job

    Mine has started to pop. The whole hedge will go green in the next week.
