My Poor Bleeding Heart
Came home to a wind damaged Dicentra today
About 3 of the stems had been ripped out by the wind which has come out of nowhere
Managed to prop it up to a certain extent and move it to a more sheltered spot so it doesnt look so bad
It looks better in the flesh, its just that the wind is so relentless

I hate wind more than anything - been swirling round here today too
. Looks like you've done a good rescue job
It still looks OK it the photo Matt. They are very fragile though tough as old boots in hardiness. I removed the supporting weeds from one today and fear collapse at the first gust
In the sticks near Peterborough
I've rescued it so that at least it comes back well again next year! Would be nothing worse than the whole plant snapping and dying on me due to a lack of photosynthesis
Hopefully the bumblebees can enjoy whats left of it more than I can
