is this early for Scotland or about right?
bump
I haven't seen one yet
But I heard the cuckoo yesterday
We saw three swallows in North Notts today. I thought they were early. maybe they came up on that saharan wind we had a couple of weeks ago.
African or European?
Haven't seen one myself as yet but a customer saw some at the local allotments on Monday (S. Glos).
Plenty of bats out and about though!
saw my first one about 10 days ago ( ish) in North Devon.
I think it is early this year yes, especially in Scotland, i saw my first one last Saturday in Durham. The bluebells are out too which is a bit early.
blue bells out in plenty here in Devon
Swallows will return to the very same barn where they nested the year before.Likewise Arctic Terns will nest within 2 metres on the same stretch of shingle of where they nested the year before. How amazing is that?
