Weed?

4thPanda4thPanda Posts: 4,145

Hi all image As you can see from the pic, there is quite a lot of this bunched together. I was wondering if it was a weed (more than likely) or if it might be worth keeping?

Many thanks for looking image

It loks a little like rudbekia, did you have some of that, if not we will have to wait for Nut to appear.

It's not one of my weeds Panda and I've got lotsimage

I'd expect something with yellow daisy flowers to come out of that.

maybe one of the perennial sunflowers or heliopsis. Not sure about the rudbeckia Lyn but I don't grow many so it could be

I did have rudbeckia next to the spot last year, and I would have left them to seed. That would the best solution as then I don't have to remove them image

    Thanks Lyn and Nut image

The leaves look very similar in shape and tightly bunched as some 'yellow daises' I have in my own garden.I'm pretty sure mine are Heliopsis helianthoides,a beautiful flower but quite bossy when it comes to invading. The ideal plant though if you don't want to do too much nurturing, they really can look after themselves.

I've never grown rudbekia but as they are a daisy too (I think?) then that's quite possible.

I should have enlarged the image first!! The leaves are much smoother than my daises.
