Some of these responses are a real giggle! It never occurred to me that people could bo sooo disgusting! I would love a rabbit fence but the cost is prohibitive - our field border alone is about 150 yards long and then there is the back and other sides. Recycled beer seems to work this week, but probably not for long. Thank you all so much for cheering me up
No people trouble here, but the deer are a challenge. Have fenced off a flower garden, and recently a veg garden - its a bit like having garden rooms (in my more pretentious moments). The rest of the garden is theirs to roam ..... by trial and error i am getting a longer and longer list of things they won't eat
And its still quite thrillng to see them wandering round the lawns
Had a rabbit last year, and i was in despair - our fences are 8ft high, but not rabbit proof. Luckily the rabbit is no more, and this year none have appeared to replace it. Fingers crossed.
The farmer with his weedkiller is the main enemy here. He can't tell where his land stops and ours starts. I'd have thought the fence would be the clue
MY, MY! What a lot of enemies!! I am very lucky no problems of any sort! We have a cat so the neighbour's cats avoid our garden. Small town garden so no farmers, 6 ft brick wall at end so no fag ends or beer bottles, we love birds so not bothered by them - they eat from the bird table. Even our allotment is at the top end of the hill so the rabbits stay at the bottom. Hope I don't get revenge attacks from you all now
Red lily beetles, earwigs and 40 Ft Chinese Elms which were a 2 ft hedge 30 years ago, they shade my garden to much and drop millions of seed keys which root any weres.
