Why is my Virburnum fragrant tree loosing it's bark?
Hi, Could anybody please give me some advice? I moved a Virburnum fragrant tree from my parents home last year (about May). It seemed absolutely fine last year stayed in leaf until the autumn and shed them as expected. This spring it started to bud in early spring but these buds seem to be dying off and I've noticed the bark at the bottom is coming away. Is there anyway of saving the tree??

Sorry but bark is essential to the life of the tree.If it's coming off all around the bottom anything above will die. Have you a photo of what is happening?
