Dwarf fan palm
Sorry about last posting, seems like there is a tech fault, please read this .....
I have Dwarf fan palm (Chamaerops humilis) which is overgrowing my small garden. I do not want to just dig it out and discard it and therefore kill it. However, it is now dominating my garden and needs to be removed. it is 2 meters wide and 1 meter high complete with thorns.
Is there a service that would remove the plant and transfer it to a more appropriate location?
I would appreciate any advice on this 'thorny subject'

Sounds a good size, but I know what you mean about those spines on the leave stems, ouch!
It would be a shame for it to be dug out and thrown away, could get a gardener to pot it up for you in a nice pot.
Thanks for the interest, as you say, it is a good size. That I guess is the main issue, it will be a heck of a job to dig it out as getting to the root will entail fighting with the thorns and its size. I'm not a young as I used to be so I think a gardening service of some kind is my only option
Thanks Bamboogie
I think who ever takes on the job, would have to prune the lower leaves right back and form a mini truck. This would let you get closer to dig up the root ball, but also reduce the stress on the palm from losing water through the leaves.
Thanks again. One more thing if I may. Do you know if the root ball is deep or shallow?
