Thanks Tracey and dove bit better...so I nipped out to look! It had totally different thorns,I poked around and pulled it a bit and it came away easily, I,ve mulched and watered it, hope it wasn't,t a normal shoot but it was so,so different,anyway,whole rose looks ok...except for now I notice the leaves have been munched! Some there,s only the middle bit left,honestly, I leave it alone for a week or two and look what happens! Maybe I should have waited but I,m a bit of a picker..!oh i used it to take 2 cuttings though they,re outside so probably won,t take, I forgot to bring them in and now it,s bath timebath time
