climbing rose

I have had a beautiful David Austen rose climbing my fence for about 8yrs or more but had to prune it back quite substantially in Oct last year as had to have a new fence erected in January.  Since then I have had a couple of tiny breakthroughs but have not come to anything. Usually by now there are leaves and buds.  Have I killed it?

  • I don't think so Daffodil4 I think you just set it back quite a bit. When the new growth starts you probably wont see flowers until next year as blooms always come on last years growth.. Do not fertilize until there's lots of growth.
