Bedding Plants
Just bought 500 Verbena & Dahlia bedding plants from supermarket. They are about 8cm (3") high. I intend planting out in pots & borders in the next week or two. Do I pinch them out before planting out? Also any tips about growing these plants as I have never grown them before.
Thanks.

Aaargh! Don't plant them out yet! They're not frost hardy. They should be potted up and given frost protection until after the last frosts.
Have you got a greenhouse or conservatory? If not, a cold frame or little plastic grow house in a sheltered spot might just be enough protection - what are your night time temperatures at the moment?
It really annoys me that supermarkets sell these plants without labels saying that they can't be planted out yet
