Prunus "Amanogawa"

I have just plated a Prunus "Amanaogawa" Flagpole Cherry.  Any tips for looking after in the first couple of years.

We planted one 18 months ago.  Ours has two rather floppy main stems on a very short trunk so, whereas I would normally go for a short stake with trees, I've had to put a broom handle in and tie both stems much further up than normal to stop it rocking about.  I planted it in a recently manured bed and added blood, fish & bone and mycorrhizal fungi.  Kept it watered in dry weather and it's flowering like anything at the moment, even though I'm not very knowledgable about these things.  Good luck with yours.
