Magnolia seems to be sick -- please help
My magnolia tree seems sick.
Black spots have appeared on the leaves (see pics below).
Some of the leaves now have holes / cutouts in strange patterns.
Other leaves have turned yellow.
No flowers have yet appeared by mid-April. (As far as I am aware, there should be flowers by now.)
The plant gets plenty of sunlight and water. I haven't made any changes to its surrounding environment.
Please diagnose the problem and advise on the treatment. I'd be grateful for any tips.
This is my favourite plant -- I would be very upset if it died.
Thanks!

I don't think the magnolia is in a container - I've zoomed in on the picture and it looks to be planted in the soil and then surrounded by a mulch of large pebbles.
How long has it been there and has it always flowers in previous years?
How often is it fed and what with?

Hi Mike and Dovefromabove,
The magnolia isn't in a container. The picture might suggest that it is because of the surrounding containers (sorry for the confusion). See below for a better picture (the trunk of the magnolia emerges from the rocks).
The magnolia is veryt established. It has been there for at least 10 years. It is about 5 feet tall.
I'm not actually sure that it has flowered before. I assume they flower every year, but I could be wrong.
In terms of feeding, it gets only water (and lots of sundlight). Should I be feeding it something special?
I'm open to suggestions.
I look forward to hearing from you (and anyone else).
Thanks
