Clematis

Good morning all,

any ideas on why young leaves of my clematis are being 'eaten',

Slugs, at this time of year they attack most things, if it's green they try to eat it.

Or snails - they love climbing up clematis, eating the bark as they go, until they reach the tips and then they eat them too.  Inspect your clematis in the evening, with a torch!!!
