Flymo

Hi I have a flymo which is in need of a good clean.  There is a build up of debri under underneath and wondered what the experts use on this forum  to help with the cleaning.  I have looked at Flymo's product but is seem expensive for what it is.  I wondered if there was any other option.  I also wondered if I could use my pressure washer to get rid of the worse of the debri and use a barrier oil of some sort to help stop any debri sticking, or is it good old elbow grease and a good scrub.

I would be grateful for any suggestions.

Regards Chris

I presume you are not in a drought area, using a pressure washer.

I just use elbow grease. Even better is to clean it as soon as you have used it, which is much easier, except that it's probably that last thing you feel like doing after you have finished mowing.

It can't be that bad that a blunt instrument could'nt scrape it off image - as an ex-caterer 'clean as you go' is my philosophy.

OH uses a trowel to scrape off the thick of it and an occasional blast with a hose pipe if needed but then it needs a good dry and a squirt of WD40 on the doings.

Best to do as Goldilocks and marshmello say and clean it after each use.
