Mushrooms/Toadstools on my lawn

The lawn to the front of my house is north facing. I have a running battle with moss, but now I also have unsightly toadstools to contend with. I've loosened the turf and remove as much of the body as I can, and checked for rooting wood (there was none). Can they be eradicated? Or is it going to be a case of grin and bear it ?

Toadstools only show above the ground occasionally, Just mow them off.

Thanks. I have mowed them in the past, but they tend to leave a slimy mess. Thanks again
Brush them off and then mow.
