What's eating my clematis?

    Hey Panda!  Well I had a look first thing. All I could find was 2 tiny bugs.  Picture of one below. 

    No snail/ slug tracks.  And they'd have to go over either bark or gravel, up the wall and then somehow jump over to the flowers.  And the nibbles holes are quite small on most buds.  Perhap the slugs are jumping out and taking one bite before they land....

    Anyway this is the tiny bug.... you see the three moles on my hand near the base of my thumb?  Well the top one isn't a mole...

    Hi Panda,

    mine's looking a bit better this weekend. How's yours doing? Any improvement?

    Well the flowers are still coming out even though they have holes. Haven't noticed any more holes image Have now got slug and snail pubs at the bottom of the clematis (and on my patio too near my tulips). I now also own some slug pellets (apparently mine are kind to animals) so will be putting them out tomorrow image
