    Mike I haven't had any planting disasters so far, but have a rhododendron in a pot that I have a place for, but no point planting it in alkaline soil without some adjustments.  I bought it when we lived the other side of the country, and they did well over there, but you don't see many here.

    Well guess what everyone, I went and looked this morning and the test has turned the bluish green of 'neutral' - which is good news!  Reassuring to know - thanks for all your responses.
