Hi, My mother had some flowers and i took cuttings from her pinks in the bunch. thry have rooted in the pit but i am worried that if i put them put they will die if we have a frost? Are they hardy?

best to wait until frost danger is over and that they have rooted well.
They do, but they need a trim after flowering to keep them bushy. As you have found, it is easy to take "pipings" to root and make new plants.
I would suggest getting them strong in a 1L sized pot before putting them in the garden
