But to the gardener with a more metaphorical mind, it is of course....
Greenhouse staging!!! At least until I can convince OH that I need to buy something a bit more stable. Next year perhaps, if I do well with the cucumbers this year.

well that's re-cycling and it looks good too! I or rather my husband has made some very nice raised beds from re-cycled decking found in a skip and made 6 good sized raised beds.

Thanks guys! Was feeling quite pleased with myself. Can't tell you how many times the scrap metal guys have asked to take the bedframe away though.
And with any luck marauding molluscs and mice may fall down the gaps .

Well fortunately Potters, it was in two parts which were nut and bolted together, so I just took them apart with a spanner. Hadn't thought of that Dove - the gaps are a bit large, so only works for bigger pots, but it does make it harder for 'thieves'! Don't ever see snails on our gravel come to think of it though - do they travel on gravel?
