Hi,

I was thinking that picture 2 was of forget me nots,  but now I have lots of picture 1 also growing in another part of the garden.

Any help on naming either or both would be appreciated

Thanks

They both look like forgetmenots. Is one in a sunnier part of the garden?

    Thanks for you reply's.

picture 1 have only appeared this year, growing under trees, so in the shade but are much short and bushier.  I was about to pull them out as I thought they where weeds, then I noticed the tiny flowers.  Picture 2 are in full sun - then appeared last year but I don't seem to have as many this year.

I have probably dug out lots of plants thinking that they are weeds.  I do try to leave them a while to see if you grow into anything.

just realised today that the taller ones are growing near to where there used to be a garden pond, so maybe that explains the difference in species.  Thanks for the info mike.
