I may have a go and see how it turns out. I'm having trouble getting pansies to survive in my soil. possibly pansy sickness or something so thought I would try in a basket.
For the first year ever I'm trying pansies one with ivy and the other with some lovely yellow and green variegated vinca. We have a good month before the really cold weather sets in so I'm hoping they will fill out quite a bit. If the pansies fail the vinca should do quite well and I can plant it out in my shade beds in spring.

I have Violas in easy fill hanging baskets, been in all winter, they haven't completly covered the baskets but they look pretty good.
