What's the best thing to do with daffodils when the flower has died

I just leave mine and save the seeds, I clear away the dead leaves by scythe, that's it, but I don't have any big flowered hybrids.

Maybe that's the difference Jim, mine are all pretty basic or species. Those fancy ones would look a bit out of place here.

Most of my daffs have come up, some I have already deadheaded but I've got a few that have come up "blind". I have given them a feed so hope this might help, any other advise? should I pull the bind ones up and re plant ? image

Yeah, if they are getting congested they will go blind, you have to lift and divide them. Other than that I wouldn't feed them if they're in grass, since you'll just be feeding the grass, just make sure they're well watered at the end of the summer and they should come up without problems. If they're in pots you have to be more vigilant though, because that's totally unnatural so you have to take more care.

My daffs are situated where my summer bedding plants are going to go,after flowering would it be ok to remove the head ,dig up the bulbs then store them for planting next year...........Cheers

No, you need to let the bulbs build up. If you do what you're suggesting it won't be long before you have no bulbs at all. You'll have to replant them, either in pots or another part of the garden.

Place the bulbs in  another part of the garden so they can finish making food through the leaves.
