I am planning to buy a rambling rose and see they are sold as bare root or container grown. Is there any beneficial benefit in which you buy ? Does one establish its self better or is there really no difference ? Any advice very welcome.

Bare root roses can be planted only in the dormant season, whereas container grown ones can be planted at any time - that's the main difference. Some people think that bare root plants establish better, but that does depend how early in the season you get them - too late and they can be very dry and take a long time to shoot, if they ever do.
Did you see GW on Friday. Monty was planting some rambling roses, all coming out of containers.
I don't think he'd have been able to get such large plants as the ones he had if he had chosen to use bare-rooted. He would have had to settle for smaller plants, and plant later or next Spring.
