I don't Chelsea Chop mine but I do thin them out and that works well. I just genty pull the spindly shoots out and leave the vigorous - ie. thick and solid - ones. That stops them competing for light. They stay shorter and therefore less inclined to shoot up and then flop over.

Tricia 82..chop right to the base. Sounds harsh!! If you guys say its ok I will try the chop this year.
