i reseeded or lawn 2 square metres of which is pure mud did everything it said in gw mag,raked mowed scattered watered.. all 10 days ago, used a mix recommended in local gc that said inside 14 days it would seed...seed still just sitting on top, raked again lightly yesterday, should i just buy turf to replace totally bald bit?

3 weeks. I always find, no matter what it says on the packet, whatever the weather is like, grass takes 3 weeks. and look carefully, it's not green as it comes through, it's brownish til the green pokes out

thanks nut i'm a bit impatient and was likely to sow more seed i often overdo it!
It always seems a long time and it's always OH that spots the first shoots and I really have to get down to groundlevel and peer horizontally to see them.
