Every so pleased...first plants will go in at the weekend...
Hi, just wanted to thank everyone for their advise after getting an allotment.
There's still a long way to go...lots of jobs to be finished off and some challenges like tree stumps to overcome...and a few mistakes along the way...I really don't think a wheel barrow will fit through the gap I've left at the bottom of the plot...the site is now inpacked soil..and nettles have started to grow in the pile of stones at the bottom of the plot but the first raised beds went in today...2..

Plan to plant out 3 currant bushes, currently growing in pots, underplanted with white strawvberries and possibly a row of garlic at the weekend weather permitting...

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Pleased its coming along Zoomer - i like scroggin's idea of before and after pics - even my borders amaze me that way, so an allotment will be even more dramatic

Don't forget to keep some of those nettles for the butterflies, chop of flowers to keep them from self-seeding.
