Help !!! Can I grow clematis and camellia together in a mixed of acid compost and multi purpose???

No
but they are on their own in a concrete base unit. I have a well established clematis and have just planted a camellia with it in ericaceous compost and feed and have put some more multi purpose compost at the base of the clematis. Have I done the wrong thing ??
