nematodes
We have discovered a number of grubs in our new garden. We are creating a vegetable patch and are of the opinion the grubs must go. Is this reasonable and responsible in concern to the beetle population and are nematodes safe to use on veg?
Many thanks BB x

I think it would be good to ID the grubs before you kill them. They may be on your side and a nematode to kill one species won't kill another
In the sticks near Peterborough
We're pretty sure they are chafer grubs. Unless there are any other similar looking grubs. We've also got Leatherjackets.
Verdun,
The garden was in poor condition when we moved in so I guess all sorts of bugs have been left to run riot. Will continue to aerate over the coming weeks and hope that helps until we use nematodes. Thanks
