    Bob, I never knew that. I suppose I always assumed urban wildlife would be accustomed to artificial light.

    Andy, I have very fond memories of there. My Grandma and Grandad had a static in nearby Carnforth.

     

  • thanks for the advice.i live in in a city so it is pretty bright anyway and will be going with some warm white lights. They will only be on when entertaining during the summer so hopefully will not upset my wildlife ecosystem.

    Unfortunately,so much light pollution here that even though our back garden is well away from street lights, you could walk the length in safety. The only difference between night and day is colour after sunrise.
