Everbearing strawberries still fruiting in October
in Fruit & veg
The strawberries are still producing loads of fruit but it's not ripening any more and the slugs are now going for the unripe ones. Will they ripen on the windowsill if I take them off? Should I take off all the leaves and fruit now?

Don't worry, the first frost will put paid to them. Strawberries don't ripen once they are picked, they just rot.
Maybe my everbearers are different, I find if they have been kept off the ground they don't rot, I took a photo on Sat then 4 days later after being on the windowledge
I'm going to give your method a go David! My plant is still flowering, and producing strawberries. She's refusing to give up just yet.
I've just took these off, and will give them a go.
