training a red robin

Can somone tell me how I go about training my red robin into a small 1 metre hedge.i dont no wether I leave it to grow taller first or put a frame behind it to tie it to together. Any help appreciated Thankyou

I'd leave it to grow naturally. They're fairly quick growing. Maybe just take out the tips to encourage them to bush up rather than grow longer stems.
