Can I make this grow?

Today we had some wood delivered for firewood, it was old fences etc and in amongst it was this, I can't remember what type of plant it was but was wondering if I can do anything with it. I know I have heard people talking about taking cuttings etc but I've never done it and don't know where to start.
As you can see there are nice new green shoots at the bottom 
Any tips/ideas gratefully received.

You'd need to take cuttings Tracey - it's Euonymous. Not sure it would be worth your while really. Doesn't look like there's much material to work with
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
That's what it's called, I couldn't remember and couldn't get Euphorbia out of my head but googled it and knew it wasn't that!!
