Winter Tree Wash

I was wondering if anyone had any advice regarding using tree wash. I didn't get chance before winter set in because of the wet weather but I would welcome any thoughts on the best way to do this, especially as the sun is shining and I really need to get the best out of my fruit trees. What is the best way to apply it would be helpful, thanks.
