False Bindweed (Calystegia Hederacea 'Flore Pleno')

I have bought some of these plants but on investigation some people say that it is too invasive and will over run my garden.  Does anyone know anything about it.  I'm a novice gardener so I don't want get off on the wrong foot in my first days of gardening.

Any advice would be helpful
