can you prune rose now with new leaf growth?

hi, about to prune a rose but see it's for new leaf growth. have I left it too late?

    Certainly not, they will be fine, a feed afterwards always helps.

    Agree with Dave -  fine to do it now and give it some FB&B afterwards.

    been out today all i've done is cut all old foliage off roses i pruned late autumn, all look well and plenty of new growth, shall i leave it at that

    I'm sure other, far more knowledgeable people here will be able to advise if that's wrong though, because  I'm no expert on roses! image

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    update. pruned the rose yesterday, re-potted it and mulched it. hope ive done it correctly ...
