Please could someone tell me what this plant is?
in Plants
Hi, this pretty plant is growing in a South facing border in fairly poor soil, I would be grateful if someone could tell me what it is.
Thanks

Its an Iris of some kind definitely. They grow from little bulbs.
I would say it is one of the Reticulata varieties at this time of year.
Hermodactylis tuberosa, Used to be called Iris tuberosa or it could be the other way round

I haven't had much success with these, I love them though and may have another go.
