Can anyone help identify this and resolve an office argument! It has grown happily indoors for a number of years, and blooms occasionally, as per the picture.

Hello, I think your plant is a Chinese Hibiscus. I have one that's similar .
Here's mine.
If you feed it regulary, you should have flowers for most of the year.
I thought Hibiscus as soon as I saw the picture.
