Wet and windy at the moment but that will help put the fire out!-I need to go outside to get the chickens up-do I have to?image

Obelixx, you're not to late to sow nicotiana, my seed packets say you can sow them indoors til April. I'm trying two varieties this year, sylvestris and x sanderae, lime green.

No chance of doing any gardening here all week - wet and windy, and cold.

I have, however, managed to plant a few seeds indoors, so all is not lost image

Obelixx, I hope that you heal soon.

Hi people! I never used to take part in this thread on the other boards (too afraid of being sucked into the vortex of quick wit and repartee!!!) but I often drop in and have a nosey. Just wanted to say it's so nice to see you're all still together!

Neither did I, Lorea - I think I'm just feeling the lack of the old board!

Miserable day here, I cannot shift my cold, almost glad that it is not gardening weather.

Good news, another of my castor oil seeds has germinated, I just need to keep this one alive.

Geoff have they still not put the fire out?image

    Repartee, what a lovely word.

Obelixx not a birthday, I was inspired by fibonacciimage

Well it has cheered up a bit here now-apparently they had to stay on site last night to make sure the fire was out-the local news were saying several days but the rain must have helped.

    Saints one point way

Everybody nice to "see" you all

    Morning all,

Do join in Lorea and AlinaW.  We're a friendly, chatting bunch, with some witty ones amongst us.

Very grey here too, and raining on and off every 5 mins.

I have a change of scenary today.  I'm staying at my Boss' house for a couple of days, in London, whilst he's away.  Working in his house today and going into the office tomorrow.  A 4 storey Town House, so I'll be knackered with all these stairs. It's dead posh!  The garden is in need of deadheading, and I've been told I can be let lose with the Secateurs.  Hurrah!

Sorry to hear you're still feeling poorly Kate.image

Kate - get well soon.  Fibonacci works for me.

Yvieh - I hope you don't get carried away with your secateurs.  I sometimes do and end up with plants that are a shadow of their former selves which would be a shock to your boss, even if good for the plants.

    Hi Obelixx,

I'll make sure I don't scalp everything!  My Boss is a 'sometimes' gardner really, as he doesn't have much spare time, so He's quite happy for me to tidy things up a bit.  The garden is only small and there aren't a huge amount of plants in it either.  I'll be staying here on and off for a few weeks, so I think I'll bring along some seedlings and baby plants for him to beef things up a bit, on his return.
