The old leaf petioles do point downwards, and the leaves brown. I leave the leaf stem (petiole) and cut off the dead leaf end bit. When the frosts are past, repot it or plant in a sunny position and give it a good feed and it should flower this year. Save the seed as the plant will then die.
Thanks for the responses the plant is now picking up and I have cut the dead ends off
since cutting off the dead ends and repotting the plant is now thriving and flowering well. once again thanks for the advice
Can we see a new picture of it flowering?
