Tea Plant Not Growing

I was given a tea plant about 3 months ago which was 4 inches tall with 4 leaves . Its now 4 inches tall with 3 leaves and one is gone brown but only onhalf of its leaf

I have as instructed only watered it once a week and placed it sun sometimes

Advice please friends

Everyone is just trying to be Happy.....So lets help Them.

    Do you mean Camellia sinensis? It will probably do best if you plant it outside towards the end of May. The brown leaf may be just scorching due to the sun - I'm assuming you've got it on a windowsill. 

    Oh, and give it a feed as well.

    Never known its name as it was a present from sons girlfriend

    yes on a window sill which gets the sun from about mid day till sun down

    ? Why has it not grown at all

    It seems too small to plant out
