Can anyone please tell me what this is? My Gran's had it in her house for years and wants to give me a bit of it. Stands about 3ft. I've had a wee search but can't ID it for definite. Also any advice on propagation appreciated. Thanks
PS Don't tell ma granny I posted a pic with the washing in it as well, she'll kill me. :P

Cant help with the plant ID Siamcat but can probably identify the laundry!
It looks like a dracaena to me.
hi Siamcat. I've got something similar but has a red stripe down the leaves and the label says 'Draceana'.
Yip Dracena. Propagation - cut off the top part and you should get a few new crowns forming from that stem and root the other part in water. Simple.

Dracaena marginata. Dead easy to propagate, just cut a piece off and shove it into some very gritty compost. The piece should be about 20cm long or so and the thicker the better, take all the leaves off that go below the compost. Put it on a light north facing window until it's rooted and don't keep it too wet. The water must drain away. Once rooted you can can give it good light again but strong south facing light all day will burn it.
it's common name is Madagascan dragon tree.
