Houseplant question (Parlour Palm)

Here is my Parlour Palm. It seems fairly happy in its new spot (new house) and have had lots of new growth. My question is (bear in mind im a newbie gardener) that it seems to be sprout a whole new plant at the bottom... Am i right in thinking that I should separate them? If so, how do i go about it?

It's pretty normal with a chamae, I would leave it unless you want two but you'll have to have very good conditions for it to grow and look good. Grow is easy, grow and look good in your house might take some effort.
