Buttercups in a lawn

Could anyone advise the best treatment for removing quite an infested area of lawn full of buttercups. I have tried manually removing them without much success so may need to resort to chemicals.

A standard lawn weedkiller should remove them, e.g., Verdone. They may need two applications.
