I followed a previous programme from last year, when Alice Fowler was showing how to plant from seed a Rowan Tree. Well I am chuffed to bits to say mine took and this is their first year from planting, So looking forward to a little tree.
Rowan can sprout up quickly - my 3 year old sapling went from 3 ft to 8ft this summer. They are medium sized trees. it depends on how much sun they get - more sun and good soil and they will race up.

Well done was the seed large or small, I planted a sapling rowan tree today in a park and lots more different sort I gess they get big ish?
