I stored all my tubers in a box pushed under a wardrobe so to keep them in the dark. They all survived and 2 weeks ago I potted them all up and I now have shoots about 4 inches tall. I usually put the whole tuber in a pot of damp compost but leave the old stem sticking out.

Why not sow some dahlia seeds as a back up. I was going to start sowing my Dahlia seeds from a seed swap at the end of the month. They flower the same time as plants grown from tubers and you get a huge tuber at the end of the summer.

I just haven't managed to get any tubers to grow the following year after being stored over winter. Hoping for better results this year.

Good news, my Dahlia tubers have sprouted. Not bad, I put them in on the 1st March
