Rosa Geranium

My Rosa Geranium has lots of bare stems now, learn't to my cost it doesn't like being cut down.  Looking for ideas of a 2/3 foot shrub I could plant in front of it to hide the stems.  Thank you

    What is your soil like?

Acid, alkaline, clay, loam, or sand.   Will it be in shade or Sun?

  • Will be west facing, clay soil in Lincolnshire, sorry fidgetbones should have given that information.

..plant Geranium 'Rozanne' in front of it.... about 18 inches from the base... the first year it will be of gentle growth, but after that this plant will take off and a single specimen will become not only a large mound shape but it's stems will search out the lower levels of your rose and start to climb up it, and sideways too...quite attractively, without interfering in it's growth...

  • That sounds perfect, many thanks
